About the Edo STAR Initiative

The Edo STAR Initiative is a government-backed program created to empower young people in Edo State by connecting them with fulfilling careers. The initiative actively seeks qualified individuals to fill open positions across various sectors.

Focus on Education: The EdoSTAR Teaching Fellowship

A key component of the Edo STAR Initiative is the Edo Supporting Teachers to Achieve Results (EdoSTAR) Teaching Fellowship. This 3-year program offers intensive training and hands-on experience for both experienced and aspiring teachers. Successful participants have the opportunity to transition into the Edo State Civil Service with a competitive salary, plus performance-based incentives and bonuses.

Without Credentials: Those looking to become teachers can participate and will earn their PGDE or PDE through the Edo State College of Education (Abudu Campus) during their first two years in the program.
