Who We Are

The Edo State Universal Basic Education Board (Edo SUBEB) is a government agency established in 2005 under the Edo State UBE Law. Our existence aligns with the National UBE Act of 2004, which ensures the right of every Nigerian child to receive free, compulsory, and quality basic education.

The EdoBEST program knows that success starts with dedication. During the recent induction training for 1,500 teachers and headteachers, both outstanding participants and skilled facilitators were recognized for their exceptional contributions.

 

“The education reforms spearheaded by Governor Godwin Obaseki are creating a lasting legacy,” says Mrs. Ozavize E. Salami. “We’re seeing improved structure, measurable results, and a renewed commitment to sustainability within our sector.”

 

The EdoBEST program is transforming basic education in Edo State. Through a standardized curriculum, teacher training, and enhanced learning environments, EdoBEST ensures that students have the resources and support they need to reach their full potential.
