EdoSUBEB BESDA Launch Two-Day Workshop – Data Management, Leadership, Mentorship

EdoSUBEB, in partnership with the Basic Education Service Delivery for All (BESDA), recently organized a two-day training support program designed to enhance the capacity of education professionals across the state. The event was held at the John Odigie Oyegun Public Service Academy and attracted participants from all 18 local government areas, ensuring a broad impact across diverse communities.

The comprehensive training featured sessions on data collection, collation, and compilation, equipping participants with the technical skills required for effective data management. A key component of the program was a leadership session delivered by the Edo State Board Executive Chairman, Barrister Mrs. Onomen Briggs. Her address focused on the fundamentals of team supervision and leadership, offering practical strategies to drive excellence in educational management.

Additionally, the board secretary, Mrs. Beatrice Ada Oluku, conducted a session on mentorship for impact. Her presentation emphasized the importance of mentorship in developing resilient, high-performing teams and encouraged participants to adopt innovative approaches to nurturing talent.

To support the newly acquired skills, each participant received a tablet and a backpack to facilitate efficient data-related activities. The workshop also featured a diverse panel of expert facilitators, including Mr. Boniface Aliu, Mr. John Thomas Oribhabor, Mr. Godwill Osayamen Iyalekhue, and Stanford Somina Dagogo. Others include Mr. Hope Emihian and Mr Akharamhe Ebenezer. Their collective expertise and practical demonstrations enriched the learning experience, ensuring that attendees gained both technical knowledge and actionable strategies for real-world application.

This capacity-building initiative represents a significant advancement in strengthening the educational infrastructure and leadership within the state, setting the stage for more efficient service delivery and impactful mentorship in the future.
