The Executive Chairman of the State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB), Barrister Mrs. Onomen Briggs, has commended the MTN Foundation for its generous donation of school materials to JSS1 students at St. Maria Goretti Junior School, Benin City.

The initiative, part of MTN’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) efforts, provided notebooks and school bags to support students’ academic development. The MTN delegation was led by Mr. Olaniyi Alabi, Senior Manager, Sales and Trade Development, Ogun Sales and Distribution, MTN Nigeria Communications Plc.

In her remarks, Barrister Briggs expressed gratitude to the MTN Foundation for its investment in education, emphasizing the importance of collaboration between the private sector and the government in improving learning outcomes. She highlighted the alignment of this initiative with the Edo State Government’s commitment to quality education and student welfare.

Barrister Briggs reiterated that under Governor Okpebholo’s administration, efforts will continue to be made to improve learning infrastructure, enhance teacher capacity, and expand access to educational resources across the state.
