Dr. Paddy Iyamu Leads Early Resumption Monitoring in Edo State Schools

The Edo State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB) is setting the tone for excellence in education with a proactive approach to early resumption monitoring. On the first day of the new term, the Executive Chairman, Dr. Paddy Iyamu, personally visited schools across the state to ensure that teachers were present, prepared, and ready to impart knowledge to students.

This initiative highlights Edo SUBEB’s unwavering commitment to fostering a culture of punctuality and preparedness among educators, ensuring that teaching and learning commence immediately upon resumption.

Key Objectives of the Initiative:
Teacher Presence: Encouraging teachers to resume promptly and create a conducive learning environment from day one.
Effective Learning Start: Reinforcing the importance of early engagement in academic activities to maximize the academic calendar.
Global Alignment: Supporting international educational frameworks, such as UNESCO’s Sustainable Development Goal 4 (SDG 4), which advocates for inclusive, equitable, and quality education, and the Millennium Goals that prioritize early resumption at the basic school level.
Dr. Iyamu’s school visits underscored his dedication to ensuring that every Edo child has access to quality education. By leading this initiative, he demonstrated the importance of leadership in setting the right example and motivating educators to prioritize their duties.

A Vision for the Future
The Edo SUBEB’s focus on early resumption monitoring is part of a broader strategy to enhance teaching standards, improve student outcomes, and align with global best practices. This hands-on leadership approach is a step towards building an education system that prepares every child for success.

As we move forward, Edo SUBEB reaffirms its commitment to ensuring no child is left behind in the pursuit of quality education.
